We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Family Office Staff Accountant to join our team. The Family Office Staff Accountant will assist in the managing the accounting and reporting needs of high-net-worth individuals and their families, including financial statements, assisting in preparing tax returns, and financial analysis. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial reports for high-net-worth individuals and their families.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including processing invoices and payments.
- Maintain General Ledger(s) and interest schedules.
- Coordinate with several internal departments.
- Reconcile bank accounts and investment portfolios monthly.
- Assist senior accountant and managing director with the execution of key projects spanning many strategic areas including investments, estate planning, taxes, philanthropy, Art, and physical asset management.
- Manage internal documentation and data retention procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service to high-net-worth individuals and their families.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 1-3 years of related Accountant work experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Sage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of investing and tax preparation is a plus.
