The Payroll Administrator is accountable for the preparation, documentation and disbursement of payroll and payroll taxes, and payroll related general ledger functions in a multi-company, multiple payroll cycle environment consisting of approximately 500 employees worldwide. This role is also in charge of assisting in new payroll system evaluations, implementations, conversions and the on-going maintenance of such systems, for existing and acquired companies.
Our corporate headquarters is in Bellevue, WA, but remote or work from home arrangements are welcome within Washington State or U.S. Pacific time zone locations.

Key Responsibilities


  • Provide overall coordination of payroll processing for all Coinstar LLC companies in the US and internationally.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate generation of the company payrolls including vacation accrual, overtime, withholding status and deductions.
  • Review reconciliations of payroll earnings, deductions, taxes and accruals.
  • Review and maintain payroll internal control procedures and monitor the security and integrity of payroll systems.
  • Assist employees with payroll related questions and concerns.
  • Assist in payroll system conversions, maintenance and administration.
  • Assist in maintaining relationships with external vendors for payroll systems, tax filing, software training, etc..
  • Perfom other duties as assigned or required including vendor maintenance set up.

Education & Experience


  • 2+ years’ payroll processing experience in a multi-company and multi-state environment. Experience with assiting in implementation and/or conversion of payroll software systems a plus.
  • Experience using both in-house and third party payroll systems, preferred; direct experience with UltiPro/UKG software payroll systems a plus.
  • Experience with international payroll processing a plus.

  • Effective time management (inclusive of timely response) and prioritization skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work independently and accurately on multiple assignments/projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to assist in resolving payroll compliance issues.
  • Solid computer skills (word processing/spreadsheets/payroll systems).

Business Travel


  • This position requires minimal to no business travel.

Pay and Benefits


The typical starting hourly rate for this position is between $23.31-$34.88 per hour. For Washington State or jurisdictions that require the publication of pay ranges, the base pay range for this position is $23.31-$41.86 per hour.  Coinstar utilizes geographically based pay ranges, within the United States, which allows us to pay competitively and consistently based on location. Within the range for the applicable geographic area, individual pay is determined by several factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share the salary range specific to your location.
