About the Role:
As a Manual QA Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our desktop applications by developing and executing test cases, identifying bugs, and collaborating closely with developers and product managers. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Day to Day:
- Execute manual testing for desktop applications on Windows and MacOS platforms.
- Develop, maintain, and execute test cases based on functional requirements and design documents.
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Perform regression testing and ensure new features do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Ensure adherence to QA processes and best practices.
- Participate in test planning and estimation.
- Provide feedback on product performance, usability, and overall quality.
- Monitor test execution progress and communicate test results to stakeholders.
What you bring to the table:
- 3-4 years of experience in manual testing, particularly for desktop applications.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and MacOS operating systems.
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- Ability to create clear, detailed, and concise test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
It would be great if you also had:
- Experience in basic automation testing or scripting.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and build tools.
- Knowledge of API testing, Antivirus, VPN and desktop native testing tools.
- Basic knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
