About the Role


We are seeking an experienced full-stack software engineer to provide a major contribution to the development of our next-generation applications. As part of an experienced agile team, you will be responsible for the design and development of key products and applications using modern responsive web and mobile frameworks and powerful graph databases. You will actively collaborate with business stakeholders to anticipate emergent needs and support business agility. This is a tremendous opportunity to build, from the ground up, a leading-edge solution using the latest responsive web frameworks and high-performance NoSQL graph databases.

Core Functions of the Role:


  • Design and develop leading-edge information distribution applications using the latest and emerging open-source technologies.
  • Support full stack development by applying Agile principles, including participating in sprint planning, design sessions, development, testing and deployment.
  • Interact with diverse cohesive team to provide high quality client delivery. 
  • Demonstrate flexibility and attention to detail, working in a collaborative team environment using emerging technologies and modern software development practices. 

About You:


  • 6+ years (senior) OR 2+ years (mid-level) experience as a software developer building web-based product.
  • A degree in Computer Science or related fields with emphasis on a complete understanding of Computer Science fundamentals.
  • Extremely well-versed in Kotlin and Java, and experience building server-side or backend applications using Spring or an equivalent framework
  • An excellent understanding of databases (both relational and NoSQL), query languages, and best practices
  • Knowledge of API design and development, including HTTP and REST principles
  • Experience building client applications with ReactJS or VueJS
  • Experience with Git or other source control software 
  • Experience with Elasticsearch and large amounts of data (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Docker or other container-based systems (preferred)
  • Experience with Linux and command-line tools, including writing Bash scripts (preferred)
  • An understanding of microservices and cross-service communication (preferred)
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services and Terraform, or other cloud providers and infrastructure management tools (Preferred)
