About the role:


Borrowell is looking for a Marketing Campaign Coordinator to support Borrowell’s rapid growth and achieve our mission of helping Canadians feel confident about money. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Marketing, this role will help identify and implement marketing programs to drive scalable user acquisition, with a focus on our referral program (Refer-a-Friend). You will empower Borrowell’s base of happy members to be advocates for the credit education and credit building tools they’ve found beneficial for their own financial journeys.

You’ll also be responsible for growing and managing Borrowell’s social media platforms to expand our reach and increase awareness of the Borrowell brand among consumers.If you’re passionate about personal finance, enjoy working with data, and have an experimentation mindset, this is the role for you!

Responsibilties:


  • Grow Borrowell members through our Refer-a-Friend referral program:
  • Using a combination of data-driven decision making and creativity, propose experiments and campaigns that will unlock growth and give us learnings. These can include limited time promotions, user research, outreach programs and more. 
  • Work directly with existing Borrowell members to execute on the programs, build relationships and collect feedback.
  • Own on-going referral program operations including tracking performance, fulfilling rewards and monitoring fraud/suspicious activities
  • Develop and execute social media strategies to increase awareness of Borrowell in the Canadian landscape:
  • Implement a social media content calendar, incorporating content such as trending news, educational content, partner campaigns, and Borrowell products/features
  • Propose innovative and new campaigns to elevate our social media presence, incorporating member voices where possible
  • Ensure all communications are on-brand and factually correct
  • Use data to inform priorities and decisions, while also using reasonable assumptions to fill in information gaps
  • Assist the Marketing team with activities related to other initiatives and channels (you’ll have the opportunity to learn a lot about multiple marketing disciplines in this role!)

Requirements


  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in a Marketing Campaign or Community Coordinator/Specialist role (or equivalent) with a B2C brand(s) in-house or at an agency
  • Strong communication skills - in addition to interacting with your colleagues, you’ll be representing Borrowell when you interact with our members, industry/social influencers and other parties
  • Creative, empathetic and practical - you’ll be coming up with compelling ideas that resonate with our members and followers, while keeping things simple enough to execute and track
  • Hands-on experience or you have demonstrated strong interest in using data or analytical tools when proposing ideas, prioritizing efforts/budget and evaluating results
  • Experience with tools to generate assets for social media, such as creating images and videos, formulating captions/scripts, researching hashtags, identifying influencers, and so on.
  • You should feel comfortable being in our social media videos!

Nice to haves


  • Knowledge of personal finance and/ or fintech industry
  • Experience with business intelligence tools, such as Looker, Tableau, Heap, PivotTables or similar

We are remote-first across Canada with an office in Toronto. This role requires you to attend in-person meetings and team-building events.
