We are a close-knit team dedicated to helping each of our users make a difference.The Data Project Manager is the key liaison between offshore resources and the Data Operations function at Leadership Connect.
This role is focused on project management and analysis, serving as an organizational leader for offshore resources, and should have a core understanding of data management and project management methodologies. The role will report to the Director of Data Operations & Engineering and work with both US teams and India-based contracted resources.
Core Functions of the Role:
- Maintain and enhance project plans, schedules, and resource allocation under the data operations strategy.
- Monitor project progress and tasks, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project plans are on track or identify obstacles to success.
- Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and data enhancements.
- Maintain documentation related to business processes, data requirements, and project outcomes.
- Implement and manage data operations workflows, data quality controls, and validation procedures.
- Develop and optimize data workflows and pipelines to improve efficiency and performance.
- Collaborate with data platform and operation teams to ensure seamless production activities and SLAs.
- Oversee the performance and productivity of offshore resources, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Develop and maintain effective communication channels with offshore teams to facilitate collaboration and address any issues.
- Implement best practices for managing virtual teams, including setting clear expectations and monitoring progress.
About You:
- A bachelor’s degree in business analysis, computer science, project management, or equivalent discipline and/or equitable professional experience.
- Professional training and certification in project management (i.e. PMP or equivalent).
- Professional training and certification in data management. Familiarity with references such as DMBoK (or similar) is a plus. (i.e. CDMP, preferred)
- Experience overseeing the production and processes of a large offshore team, ideally with exposure to Indian offshore teams.
- Proven history of training new processes to larger offshore resources with strong adoption.
- Experience with Data Operations and Management functions (preferred) including modernization of these functions.
- Strong documentation and workflow experience using Jira and Confluence.
- Ability to conduct data analysis and reporting on process efficiency and identify areas of improvement and opportunity within data management functions.
- Experience with navigating and developing reporting using Power BI, Tableau, or other similar functioning tools.
- Proven experience working across both teams and functions, managing stakeholder interests while achieving goals.
- Proven communicator across an organization understanding the challenges of product, data, and engineering teams and working collaboratively to solve known challenges.
