Senior Data Scientist - Product Analytics

We’re looking for a senior analytics thought leader with a passion for transforming data into insights and a track record of helping companies make better products. As a Core Product Analytics Lead, you will generate strategic insights through creative and rigorous analysis; drive experimentation to realize impact; and design and build metrics to scale understanding across the company.
You will join our growing data and insights community, where you will help define the best practices that form the foundation of our data driven culture. In our fast-moving startup environment, you will have a broad charter and autonomy to prioritize complex and interesting projects that will inform the most important decisions at the company.
What we’re looking for
6+ years of experience in data science, analytics or related roles and Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics or related quantitative field
Expert in SQL and at least one programming language for data analysis (Python or R)
End-to-end data fluency, from database and ETL tools (e.g. DBT, Bigquery) to visualizing compelling data stories using BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker, Metabase)
Strong business and product acumen and a demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous questions into concrete analysis and data products
Passion for using insights to influence decision-making and evangelizing a data informed culture
Experience leading experimentation end to end, including creating and implementing scalable analytical solutions and processes, to drive data-driven execution
Experience conceptualizing metrics frameworks and designing and building metrics that drive team and company-level performance
Excellent problem solving skills and communication skills and the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights
A proven track record of collaboration across technical and non-technical partners to drive tangible impact for users
Self-propelled continuous learner who mentors and uplifts colleagues

This role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the expected base salary range for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.Compensation Package $190,000 - 220,000 USD Base Salary + Pre-IPO Stock Options
