Fullstack mindset on an Engineering Platform team
Even if you specialize in either front-end or back-end, we want to ensure that our development is not done in isolation. We strive for all our engineers to think from our customers' perspective, integrating both front-end and back-end seamlessly to build great solutions for our business.Playing this role on the Engineering Platform team means that you’re going to support Clutch’s engineering team growth by focusing on optimizing the software development life cycle and reducing friction for the developers and other platform clients.Our main stacks are TypeScript (both back-end and front-end), React, Python, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Datadog, and AWS.
We are not looking for an expert in all of these stacks, instead,
we appreciate the ones with a background in some of them, and are willing to LEARN
You'll be responsible for:
Develop clean and testable code: Write and maintain efficient, easy-to-debug code with thorough test coverage and peer code reviews.
Collaborate and optimize: Work closely with developers and stakeholders to understand their needs and optimize platform workflows.
Contribute to infrastructure: Partner with Infrastructure Engineers to build and maintain the platform’s core infrastructure.
Document and share knowledge: Ensure configurations and processes are well-documented, mentor teammates, and foster continuous improvement.
Learn and innovate: Continuously explore new technologies and concepts to enhance your skills and the platform.
Skillset you will bring:
Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience, preferably in high-velocity and large-scale environments such as startups. Experience in fintech is a plus.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Strong experience with TypeScript (both back-end and front-end), React, Node.js, and Python.
Cloud expertise: Familiarity with provisioning cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and hands-on experience with developing, testing, configuring, and deploying workloads on the Cloud, preferably AWS.
DevOps and automation: Proven experience in building CI/CD pipelines and developing automation solutions to streamline processes.
Debugging and troubleshooting: Expertise in diagnosing and resolving issues throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Full-stack understanding: Experience with either back-end or front-end development, with a comprehensive understanding of both (B2F vision).
Communication and collaboration: Excellent English communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment.
