What the job involves
The Quality Manager is expected to serve as a quality expert and support the organization by overseeing and ensuring quality objectives are upheld throughout our customer service delivery. As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all quality assurance within the organization and our clients. This role requires cross-functional collaboration with internal team members, our subcontractors and other external stakeholders. The role acts as a catalyst for continuous improvement, connecting all resolved issues to root causes and ensuring remediation plans are tracked to successful implementation.
This person is responsible for defining, measuring, and reporting on resolved issues and working with teams to incorporate lessons learned and implement process enhancements.
Responsibilities
Route Configuration Quality: Own the quality of route configurations for both new and existing routes. Establish robust review mechanisms, testing protocols, and continuous monitoring to ensure the accuracy and reliability of route data.
Subcontractor Quality Management: Oversee subcontractor relationships to ensure compliance with SLAs and contractual obligations while delivering high-quality outcomes. Responsibilities include reviewing data and reports, auditing processes, analyzing event flow, and collaborating with subcontractors to drive continuous improvements. Implement and maintain controls to ensure subcontractors meet organizational quality standards and expectations consistently.
Customer Quality: Define, establish, and monitor project-specific quality plans and targets based on customer requirements. Collaborate with the Growth team to streamline customer communication and enhance SLA reporting processes.
Program Go-Live QA: Perform comprehensive program go-live quality assurance to ensure flawless launches. Develop and execute pre-go-live checklists, review configurations, conduct data integrity testing, and coordinate post-go-live reviews. Ensure all potential risks are addressed, and processes are fully validated before deployment.
Issue Resolution: Lead mitigation actions for customer quality issues and non-conformances. Work cross-functionally to resolve issues quickly, ensuring clear customer communication.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement actions across all phases of the project, sharing best practices and implementing lessons learned through workshops and assessments.
Audits and Assessments: Conduct risk-based operational audits over inventory control practices, field service returns, and manufacturing quality controls. Manage the full audit lifecycle, from risk assessment to issue resolution tracking.
Qualifications:
BS/BA in Quality Management, Engineering, or related discipline
5-7 years of experience in quality management of complex systems and products
Experience in product development involving system, software, and hardware content
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt Certification
Experience managing subcontractor relationships and ensuring SLA compliance
Strong experience with quality management, configuration management, test management, and defect management tools
Familiarity with creating metrics and reports from tools/methodologies (preferred)
Collaboration and management skills
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong leadership and conflict resolution capabilities
Ability to travel
Experience coordinating work across multiple teams, locations, and international environments
ISO 9001 experience is a plus
