We are venture-backed, growing quickly, and excited to build a great team and technology to make healthcare better.About the Role: Bainbridge Health is seeking a Clinical Data Analyst to join the Engineering Team.
As an early member of the Engineering Team, you will be responsible for data retrieval, preparation, validation, metrics gathering of clinical data related to hospital pharmacy operations, internal and external customer support, monitoring and maintaining data quality, and product development. You will be a key participant in our clinical data operations and software development lifecycle. Your success will be measured by our ability to meet or exceed our service objectives, respond to incidents and customer support tickets in a timely fashion, and maintain timely and valid data sources and analyses.
Here’s what you will be doing: Core Customer Responsibilities
- Participate in the software development lifecycle to assist with the design, planning, implementation, delivery and on-going maintenance of the Med OS Platform and supporting applications, especially the design, implementation, and validation of data models, visualizations, and ingestion processes.
- Support the clinical and customer teams in the preparation and review of data analyses for internal and external customers.
- Retrieve data from customer systems, including running reports, preparing and validating data, and ingesting data.
- Monitor customer data, recommend and implement remediations where appropriate.
- Coordinate with Customer Success to respond to customer data quality concerns.
- Support the Engineering Operations team in incident response and change management processes as related to customer data management.
- Support the Quality team in the preparation, maintenance and reporting of customer data quality metrics and stats.
- Participate in weekly and monthly Engineering team rituals and processes to plan, review, implement and sustain the Med OS Platform.
Additional Responsibilities & Activities
- Analyze, document, and verify new data sources.
- Participate in the design, documentation, development, and validation of new data analysis products.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant components of the Med OS Platform technology stack, including Looker and BigQuery, as well as additional tools and technologies that are added over time.
- Be a Subject Matter Expert on the Engineering team as relates to relevant components of the Med OS Platform technology stack, including Looker and BigQuery, as well as our data models and flows.

Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working with SQL databases, BI and reporting tools, and Python.
- 3+ years of experience working with Looker, BigQuery, and GitHub or GitLab.
- Experience working with unix shell scripting, using VPNs and secure shells (SSH) to access systems and data.
- Experience with working with healthcare data.
- Experience providing customer support
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in science, engineering, mathematics. Computer Science or Mathematics, or Informatics preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of initiative, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Independent thinker with the ability to find the tools and resources to be successful
Bonus Points:
- Experience developing and establishing clinical data standards, especially between multiple vendors and/or institutions, or on open standards committees.
- Experience working with hospital and hospital pharmacy data, especially infusion pumps, electronic medical records, and related medication administration technologies.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Excel and related tools.
- Experience extracting healthcare data from legacy systems in various ways (APIs, web scraping, data feeds).
