REGENT is building the seaglider; the first electric flying machine that will transport commercial passengers. With a vehicle that never flies higher than a few meters off the water, we unlock the ability to fly twice as far as an electric aircraft, and certification by maritime authorities which will let us fly first passengers by mid-decade.

We have over $9B in provisional orders from some of the industry’s largest operators and are hitting the ground running.REGENT is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to contribute to the mechanical team's mission-critical design, testing, and development projects.
In this role, you will execute minor projects or sub-projects with high independence, applying engineering principles and sound judgment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- You should be able to demonstrate sufficient autonomy and engineering judgment to be trusted to execute minor projects or sub-projects independently.
- A successful intern will demonstrate sound critical thinking and problem-solving skills and knowledge of materials, systems, and engineering first principles.
- Depending on your aptitude, you may be focused on electromechanical systems, test fixture/planning, or mechanical design/drafting.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving and critical thinking
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks), real hardware development
- Motion or dynamic applications strongly perferred
- Excellent communication skills
