About Us:
Led by Dr. Andrea Deoudes, our Medical Director & Co-Owner: Dr. Deoudes graduated from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed a small animal emergency and rotating internship at VCA Veterinary Referral Associates in Gaithersburg, MD. Her interests include neurology, emergency medicine, and preventative health care. Outside of work, Andrea enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking with her 3 rescue mutts (General, Sergeant, and Scout), playing soccer, and watching sports, especially football.
She is very passionate about animal rescue work, and much of her free time is spent volunteering as the medical director and a foster for a small non-profit rescue group. She most recently supported the Caring Hands team in Arlington, and now Dr. Deoudes is the owner and medical director of her very own Caring Hands Animal Hospital location in Suffolk, Virginia, which opened in September 2024.
Who We Are:
Talented. Thorough. Communicative. The team at Caring Hands Suffolk works together towards a singular cause: giving you the absolute best relationship with your pet possible
Caring Hands is a network of nine veterinary hospitals born from a simple idea: we can create a better world for animals and the people who love them. We think deeply about what a veterinary practice can be and mean for pets and people. We think differently about how to build it. Relationships can only work on a strong foundation of trust. That is why we have built the most open and transparent veterinary experience in the region. Open treatment areas, windows into the surgical suites, and an Open Door Policy…everything we do here puts you at the center of your pet’s healthcare.
Our Culture:
We offer transparent and individualized medicine that has attracted a select group of talented individuals to our cause. At our hospitals, you will find doctors and veterinary professionals who are genuinely at the top of their field. We believe in creating an environment where individuals can reach their potential and feel connected to their true calling. We love coming in to work each day because our actions and our dreams are in total alignment, and they’re all about creating a better world for you and your pet.
