Based in the National Capital Region,
Pivot Path Solutions, LLC is a government contracting and management consulting firm that offers enterprise IT solutions, strategic planning, organizational development, and business transformation services to help customers adapt and thrive in changing market conditions. Pivot Path Solutions is seeking an experienced IT Implementation Program Manager to lead and manage the deployment of IT solutions for our federal government clients. This individual will be responsible for coordinating project teams, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring successful implementation within budget, scope, and timeline.
A background in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) is highly desirable. This is a remote position, but candidates are preferred based in the Metro DC Area. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead IT implementation projects for government contracts, ensuring successful deployment, integration, and optimization of IT systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource needs.
- Manage the full project lifecycle, from initial planning through to execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, risk management plans, and communication strategies.
- Work closely with government clients to gather requirements, translate them into actionable plans, and ensure alignment with their objectives.
- Ensure projects comply with federal IT standards and regulations, including cybersecurity and data privacy policies.
- Oversee cross-functional project teams, providing direction, guidance, and conflict resolution.
- Monitor and report on project progress, providing regular updates to both internal leadership and external government stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Coordinate with technical teams to support system design, configuration, testing, and implementation efforts.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address project challenges.
- Provide post-implementation support to ensure systems are running smoothly and meet client expectations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience managing IT implementation projects, preferably within the government contracting space.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is required.
- Experience with HRIS systems such as PeopleSoft, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or others is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with government IT standards, regulations, and compliance (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST).
- Demonstrated experience managing large, cross-functional project teams.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in Agile environments (SAFe or Scrum certification is a plus).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience working with federal clients and understanding of government procurement and contracting processes.

- Problem-solving mindset with an ability to navigate complex technical and organizational challenges.
