We are looking for an experienced VP of Sales & Marketing to help us expand within our existing market and grow into new verticals.
About the role
As the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, you will own a significant portion of the customer lifecycle and go to market activities, from demand generation to the signing of new customers. This is a high impact role perfect for someone who has experience taking companies into Series B and beyond, and is eager to get in on the ground floor. The VP of Sales & Marketing reports directly to the CEO and is ultimately responsible for driving revenue growth.
What you’ll do:
- Develop strategies and tactics for increasing market share within existing markets, while expanding into new selected verticals and achieving Company revenue goals- Build and implement a sales playbook- Continue to refine PMF of product- Manage and report out on sales forecast - Create and report on outcome-based metrics for your team - Define and implement demand generation across sales and marketing- Hire, onboard, and train team members with a winning, can-do mindset - Attend conferences and travel to meet prospects & customers - Establish best practices and a culture of excellence in our go to market team- Build and track a sales & marketing budget - Build and maintain strong relationships in our industry - Collaborate with your executive team peers on cross-functional goals
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years leadership experience managing Sales & Marketing functions at a Series B/C and beyond company - Demonstrated experience leading a sales team that has met or exceeded revenue goals- Experience managing demand generation activities - Knowledge of local and state government sales and procurement processes- Clear vision of how to build a winning sales teams - Proficiency in sales and revenue forecasting & budget management- Exemplary customer relationships & communication skills- Collaborative team player, willing to lend a hand- Experience in high growth startups is a bonus
Salary range: $160-210k + commission plan
