REGENT is building the seaglider; the first electric flying machine that will transport commercial passengers. With a vehicle that never flies higher than a few meters off the water, we unlock the ability to fly twice as far as an electric aircraft, and certification by maritime authorities which will let us fly first passengers by mid-decade.

We have over $9B in provisional orders from some of the industry’s largest operators and are hitting the ground running.REGENT is seeking an International Certification Intern to work closely with engineering teams to develop inspection plans and ensure compliance with safety standards for seagliders.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- As a skilled intern, you will be required to work with REGENT engineering teams to develop a detailed understanding of the safety-critical areas and specific locations on our seagliders and to document these as part of proposed inspection plans for independent certification bodies
- You may be required to work with international certification bodies and national administrations to understand their safety requirements and align these with REGENT plans and processes as part of the global certification activities within REGENT
- You will be part of a small but highly dynamic and multidisciplinary team at REGENT, but you must be willing to take ownership of and be capable of working independently on assigned tasks
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- At least 3rd year completed BS in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Marine Transportation, or Similar Field, or enrollment in a post-GraduateEngineering program
- Demonstrated strong and effective verbal and written communication, including technical documentation
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic about solving problems
- Adaptable and flexible with moving deadlines and tasking
- Detail-oriented
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Knowledge of maritime classification and certification
- Experience with risk assessment processes and techniques (HAZID, HAZOP, FTA, SSA, etc.)
- Sea time or aviation time logged
- Experience of safety-critical systems/processes
- Sailing, boating, and/or flying background or interest
