Digital Analytics & Data Visualization Specialist (hybrid- Baltimore)
Media Works is looking for a motivated Digital Analytics and Data Visualization Specialist with 2-5 years’ experience. We are a highly respected, fast paced, energetic integrated marketing agency located in Baltimore, MD. The agency has been in the business for over 35 years, serving a diverse client list.Position Summary:We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Digital Analytics and Data Visualization Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting data across numerous platforms to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
This role requires a strong analytical mindset, experience with digital analytics, as well as tag management platforms. The successful candidate will work closely with within teams to support data-driven decision-making and contribute to the continuous improvement of our media campaigns. This role requires both investigative and proactive thinking, we want someone who will dive head first to solve problems, come up with innovative solutions, and has a passion for data and marketing.Position Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Performance Assessment:Analyze and explore data to assess the performance of ongoing programs (e.g., marketing initiatives, A/B tests) and identify new insights and opportunities.
- Multi-Source Data Analysis & Reporting:Analyze data from multiple sources (e.g., website, digital advertising, social media, SEM) and design client-facing reports providing comprehensive insights and recommendations.
- Data Manipulation:Understanding our database structure and the sources of relevant information pertinent to our clients and how to process that data on our platforms. We want someone who will dig in, understand our clients’ needs, and their business.
- Dashboard Development:Create, maintain, and continuously improve dashboards that highlight performance metrics across clients and client agencies. Support dashboard development analytics platforms and data visualization tools.
- Tag Management:Assist with the implementation and management of on-site platform pixels (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google 360). Conduct tag audits and investigate data issues or discrepancies.
- Ad Hoc Analysis:Perform ad hoc quantitative analysis to answer unique and challenging business questions.
- Data Planning:Plan data requirements for analysis and evaluate data reliability and usability.
- Collaboration:Work closely with cross-functional teams (media, digital strategy, advanced analytics, brand management) to interpret campaign results and provide insights.
Experience, Education and Skills:
- Experience:Two or more years of experience in digital analytics and tag management platforms (certifications in Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, preferred). With preferred experience with B2B clients.
- Passion for Data:Enthusiastic about data, analysis, modeling, learning, and continuous improvement.
- Technical Skills:Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience in data visualization through tools such as Google Analytics, Marketo, Tableau, Datorama etc.
- Proactive Mindset:Eager to present data discoveries and insights proactively and addresses ineffective performance promptly.
- Organizational Skills:Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Collaboration:Ability to work independently and within a team structure to discuss methodology, results, and recommendations. This role will be built out to support our teams, so communication is paramount.
- Problem-Solving:Proactive, resourceful problem-solver with a willingness to offer up solutions.
- Critical Thinking:Ability to draw conclusions, find creative solutions, and apply a structured problem-solving approach.
- Attention to Detail:Extremely attentive to detail, with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize and adapt.
Communication:Ability to communicate both written and verbally with all levels in an organization.Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to be in a stationary position for long periods of time.
- Must be able to operate computer keyboards.
- Must be able to read computer screens.
- Must be able to occasionally travel for client and agency meetings.
