We are looking for a highly systematic, organized, hard-working and self-directed individual who is excited by the opportunity to work closely with the firm’s Fundraising team to support various capital formation activities. You enjoy building internal and external relationships, understand capital formation processes for private funds and related vehicles and structures and enjoy tracking the private capital market.
What you will be doing at Generate Capital as an Senior Analyst, Fundraising:
- Support the functions of the Fundraising team including:
- Preparation of marketing and investor materials
- Assisting management of relationships with existing and prospective institutional clients
- Assisting investor due diligence process and management of data room
- Supporting preparation and responses to investor questions and requests
- Planning marketing events and fundraising roadshows
- Take responsibility for supporting fund reporting and investor events
- Help manage onboarding processes in coordination with internal teams and external partners
- Regular and ad hoc investor reporting and communication
- Plan and assist with organizing investor calls/meetings and events
- Maintain market research on industry trends, competitor activities and investor information
- Support maintenance of CRM system and create internal reports for fundraising process management
- Other general support of members of the Fundraising team as needed
Candidate qualifications & core characteristics:
- A demonstrated passion for, or commitment to, our mission
- 2-3 years of industry experience working in relation to private funds
- Familiarity with financial markets and investment products
- Experience working with institutional investors in relation to fundraising or investor relations functions
- Strong preference for knowledge in infrastructure and sustainability
- Unimpeachable integrity and glowing references
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including empathy, intuition, and listening as well as strong writing, editing, and basic design skills.
- High level of self-awareness and humility, with excitement about confronting uncomfortable situations or new challenges
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Proficiency with relationship management software platform
- Intellectual agility, curiosity, and creativity; problem-solving is your default mode
- Entrepreneurial spirit: flexibility, comfort with risk, recognition that “perfect can be the enemy of the good”
Generate’s compensation packages are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Salary decisions take into account a wide variety of factors including, but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $140,000. In addition, the compensation package may include a discretionary bonus and other benefits, including health care benefits, retirement benefits, benefits permitting paid days off (including sick leave, parental leave, and paid time off or vacation benefits), and other benefits that must be reported for federal tax purposes. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of this range.
