You will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities in the K-12 educational sector.Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Identify and qualify new business opportunities in the K-12 education sector through cold calling and inbound leads.
- Outreach: Conduct initial outreach to prospective clients via email and phone calls.
- Relationship Building: Transition qualified leads to the Business Development team, maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers.
- Data Management: Keep accurate records of interactions and leads in the CRM system, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and sales teams to align strategies and ensure seamless lead transition.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of Otus' product offerings to answer questions and overcome objections.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a K-12 school setting as a teacher, instructional coach, and/or administrator.
- Familiarity with key K-12 instructional initiatives and structures; Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), Progress Monitoring (MTSS/RTI), Standards-Based Grading, Common Assessments, etc.
- Bachelor's Degree required (in Education or related field preferred).
- Proficient with Google Workspace tools
- Ability and willingness to learn SalesForce and other sales tools
- A self-starter who does not need to be managed.
- Ability to show your value to your colleagues through your everyday words and actions.
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to facilitate discussions to resolve conflicting processes, content, and opinions.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% of the time and participate in National or Regional K-12 conferences and events

- Total compensation includes base salary, commission, and bonuses. Salary is commensurate with the qualifications for this position.
