We are a provider of specialized fund administration services for Managers and General Partners of private equity funds, specifically: Buy‐out, Venture Capital, Real Estate and Fund‐of‐ Funds. For new General Partners, we provide consulting services to help accelerate the launch of their funds in addition to our full fund administration services. For established General Partners, we provide administration services and technology to whole fund families or select funds, to help scale their fund operations rapidly and efficiently.
Job Overview:
This position is ideal for someone looking to gain exposure to private equity and venture capital industries through fund administration and partnership accounting. Standish interns provide financial and administrative support primarily to the Associates and Fund Controllers. The job responsibilities include assistance with financial statement support schedules, client data entry, filing, and special projects as needed. This position also includes exposure to the systems technology that our clients utilize for reporting purposes by assisting with ongoing data entry & systems conversion projects for new and existing clients as well as analyzing reports and client documents (financial & otherwise) to determine and address discrepancies.
Essential Functions:
- Data entry of financial and client information into recordkeeping system
- Responsible for maintaining and updating various filing systems
- Assist with providing support to audit and tax teams
- Other special projects as given by the Associates and Fund Controllers
- Assist teams with systems conversions and other special projects
Minimum Requirements:
- Knowledge of basic Accounting and Finance principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word & Outlook
- Familiarity with QuickBooks (not required, is a plus)
