EM2 - Engineer, Mechanical, LPD DESIGN, ENGR, AND TECH SUPT/AUX SEM Support Description:Works with various, complex HM&E systems in support of the Government HM&E Manager and Support Manager. Concentration may include Knowledge in the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) standards as well as Navy’s Standards and requirements. Specific focus areas of proficiency in: Auxiliary’s system and Deck Systems. Previous HM&E, Merchant Marine, or Navy experience is highly desirable and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Marine or Mechanical Engineering, or Naval Architecture is required.
This position is contingent to hire upon contract award.Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or Naval Architecture
- 1+ years of professional experience in Marine Engineering or relevant equivalent experience
- Experience with applicable codes and standards (ABS, NVR, NFPA, etc.)Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) Certification
- 5+ yearsDoD/Navy program management, Government, or Industry technical management
- 3 years experiences with ship Auxiliary or Deck systems
