The Position:
Makpar is seeking an experienced Business Developer to cultivate business opportunities at the Department of the Interior.
Role Specific Duties
- Current experience and customer relationships within the Department of the Interior
- Must have relationships with key decision makers (not just contract officers)
- Looking for a min 5-7 years’ experience
- Understand how your customer procures their contracts
- Be able to Identify and research potential clients and seek out qualified opportunities.
- Develop and maintain existing and new client relationships
- Work with internal support team driving opportunities to submit
- Gather useful information from customer and competitor data
- Make and give presentations to prospective clients and internal executives
- Track, identify and add qualified prospects to sales pipeline
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business
- Be invested in industry by attending events, trade shows etc.
- Be able to develop an Account Plan that drives to a Tactical Plan
- Have a level understanding of your industry/Customer issues and potential solutions.
- Work collaboratively with the SA/CTO to define solutions around AI/ML
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, computer science, or related fields, plus 5 years of relevant experience
- Must have hands-on relationships with key decision makers and have a track record of success
- US Citizenship or Green Card holders with at least 3 years of residence within the US
- Candidates will have to undergo public sector MBI Clearance
