Our Contracts Department is seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team as a Contract Specialist. The Contract Specialist will support Aechelon Technology's (“the Company”) Director of Contracts and Legal Counsel in reviewing, assessing, negotiating, and executing both incoming and outgoing contracts, primarily related to the sale or licensing of Company products and services. Additionally, the Contract Specialist will respond to RFQs/RFIs from customers, issue RFQs/RFIs to subcontractors, and complete the required documentation for these responses.The position is based out Aechelon Technology’s Orlando office, but would primarily require work from a home office.United States citizenship required due to restrictions on access to certain data.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and negotiate customer and supplier agreements, including but not limited to, non-disclosure agreements, service agreements, purchase agreements, and licensing agreements.
- Review outgoing proposals for accuracy prior to release to customers/prospects.
- Review incoming contracts for accuracy prior to execution.
- Support pre-bid and post-award meetings.
- Manage contract closeout procedures.
- Provide ongoing assistance to PM/BD teams in the administration of contractual agreements to include coordination of payment milestones and invoicing in accordance with the contract terms.
- Maintain contract files and records; prepare status reports; and reconciles differences with Finance and the Project Managers.
- Manage and process contract change requests, amendments, and extensions.
- Other related duties.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience with US DoD contract negotiations and DoD procurement processes and policies
- Familiarity with FAR/DFARS and commercial contract law
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Fluency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to obtain a US DoD personnel security clearance
DESIRED COMPENTENCIES:
- Experience with Program Management in the Simulation and Training Industry
- Familiar with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems
- Familiar with JIRA issue tracking tool or equivalent
- Familiar with NetSuite ERP system or equivalent
- Active US DoD personnel security clearance
SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:
REQUIRED EDUCATION, ELIGIBILITY AND EXPERIENCE:
- 5-7 years of experience in a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree from a U.S. accredited college or university, in business administration or management, finance, accounting, economics, pre-law or similar discipline.
