Responsible for assisting in machine repair, painting, welding, and minor building repairs to keep the plant running smoothly and maintaining the cleanliness of work areas.

- Performs preventative maintenance, assist in maintenance repairs to a wide variety of equipment, building, and general housekeeping.
- Works in a safe manner and recognizes unsafe conditions. Takes appropriate action to ensure safety of themselves and others in the building.
- Maintains a schedule of when maintenance has been performed and when next service is due.
- Report defects, damages and malfunctions of any kind to the supervising authority.
- Run errands as needed.
- Communicate with co-workers and others to carry out job duties.
- Effectively complete all tasks as assigned by the supervising manager.
- Various other duties as required by the department.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 plus years of related work experience with plant floor experience.
Competencies
- Thoroughness.
- Ability to operate basic tools and equipment related to the maintenance and repair of equipment and machines.
- Time Management.
- Familiarity with automotive manufacturing
- Computer skills and math skills sufficient to perform department related tasks required.
- Communication skills to communicate and interact with all levels of employees.
- Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on the plant floor. The hours for this role are Monday through Thursday 4:30AM to 3PM. As company needs require, this role may be mandated to work an additional hour per day for an end time of 4PM if needed. Occasional Friday and Saturday add-ons are possible.
