These activities include work assignments, implementing schedules, dealing with personnel issues, and ensuring that machines are crewed. This position will also manage workflow through each production cell in the ISP area ensuring customer delivery commits are met with the lowest possible labor cost. The ISP area consists of the following manufacturing areas or work cells: GenPen Production Folding & Cutting Affixing & Mail Preparation Hand Center - Part-time & Homeworker Labor Workforce Digital Print Essential Functions and Responsibilities


  • Leads the  planning, directing, and coordinating all activities within the ISP Work Cells. 

  • Monitors production and workflow through all ISP Areas. 

  • Communicates, directs, and drives improvements for equipment efficiencies and streamlines workflow through all ISP areas. 

  • Ensures compliance with all schedule demands as well as postal regulations. 

  • Ensures that all SOPs are followed. 

  • Ensures job assemblers and equipment operators have all essential job instructions and materials to meet customer expectations. 

  • Ensures proper coverage to keep work moving through all ISP work cells at all times. 

  • Reviews operator production sheets for accurate and complete data. 

  • Protects sensitive information by following HIPAA policies. 

  • Reduces production waste by monitoring production processes. 

  • Engages in continuous improvement tasks and action items to improve equipment performance. 

  • Communicates effectively with Senior Management, Supervisors as well as employees. 

  • Monitors operations throughout the facility to ensure safe practices are followed and in place. 

  • Provides reporting and analysis related to production data, labor management, and process improvement. 

  • Works closely with Strategic Planning and Client Services so work to be performed meets equipment capabilities and negotiates delivery dates so projects can flow smoothly through the department. 

  • Develops and implements continuous improvement initiatives in all aspects of the operation. 

  • Monitors and controls labor costs. 

  • Schedules work on equipment and throughout the department to meet mail dates. 

  • Provides employee reviews in a timely manner that fairly assesses performance and provides clear feedback regarding expectations. 

  • Coaches, mentors, and trains employees to perform their tasks and assignments as expected. 

  • Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success.

Position Requirements


  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. 

  • Previous leadership experience required.

  • Financial acumen preferred.

  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Printstream and strong excel skills are an important part of the needed skill set but not required.

  • A flexible schedule including weekends and overtime is required.

  • Must be able to stand, lift up to 50lbs, reach, kneel, and bend for extended periods of time. 

  • The ability to read, write and communicate clearly is necessary. 

  • Work effectively with little guidance and understand the financial impact of proper crewing, a safe work environment, and producing quality products while achieving production targets & goals. 

  • Must be able to schedule work and assign individuals to various tasks to meet expected delivery requirements.
