Role Overview:
As a Business Lead at Saturn, you will work closely with one of the founders to scale early revenue growth and build strategic partnerships. You’ll regularly collaborate with team members, advisors, and investors who have built some of the largest digital ad businesses and partnership functions at companies like Google, Facebook, and Snapchat.Your responsibilities will include supporting new business pitches, shaping strategies for key meetings, and managing the day-to-day pipeline of both potential and existing ad partners.
As you become more familiar with our offerings, you’ll take ownership of select pitches, client relationships, and revenue-driving initiatives. In this role, you’ll assist with both high-level strategy and hands-on execution, supporting processes and efforts that drive revenue growth across all fronts. You’ll play a key role in crafting and communicating our value proposition, developing business strategies, creating pitch decks and materials, and expanding our business development efforts. This role will require client interaction as well as travel. Adaptability, initiative, a strong work ethic, and an entrepreneurial mindset are essential for success.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Help drive the company’s business and revenue strategy and growth initiatives
- Lead the creation of pitch decks, business proposals, and materials for client presentations, new business pitches, and speaking engagements
- Coordinate responses to inquiries from existing and potential partners
- Support Saturn’s revenue function by pitching and securing advertising deals and high-value brand partnerships
- Attend meetings with potential clients and partners to help drive business deals and strategic partnerships, and represent Saturn at relevant industry events
- Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Finance, Data Science, Marketing, Engineering) to align business goals with product development and market positioning
- Drive analyses related to partnership and monetization, including pricing models and revenue forecasting.
- Handle day-to-day business development tasks, including building and managing a pipeline of opportunities
- Support scaling efforts in these areas by implementing new business development processes and best practices, recruiting and training team members, and resource allocation
You should have:
- 3-7 years of experience in business development, finance, consulting, or partnerships, with exposure to technology and/or media being a plus
- Confidence and experience working across the business development process from start to finish
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in managing relationships and supporting high-level client meetings, business pitches, and presentations
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills
- Ability to create compelling decks, materials, and pitches that anticipate client needs and tailor solutions accordingly
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities, with the capacity to influence senior stakeholders
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with founders and cross-functional teams
Compensation:
This position has an estimated annual salary range of $135,000 to $175,000, not including bonus, commission, and equity. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including demonstrated skill set, years and depth of relevant experience, and other role-dependent factors.
