Kensington Tours, a multi-award-winning premium and luxury tour operator, specializes in creating tailor-made, private guided experiences to some of the world’s most extraordinary destinations. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating complex international air itineraries, leveraging our preferred airline partners to deliver the best travel options.Your primary objective will be to enhance air sales conversions for Kensington Tours’ land programs and air-only requests by directly engaging with clients and their representatives.

As a Quote Air Expert on the RAQ Team, you will collaborate closely with both the Kensington Tours and Kensington Air sales teams to facilitate initial communications, respond to email inquiries, and provide prompt air quotes for potential clients.

Key Accountabilities:


  • Evaluate and respond to web-based inquiries from potential Kensington Tours clients regarding air travel arrangements.
  • Build air itineraries and provide pricing options (primarily for U.S.-based clients) using Sabre GDS, Microsoft Word, and Adobe applications. Coordinate with land/tour bookings to provide a seamless travel experience.
  • Research and present complex international itineraries, offering the best pricing and travel experience using published and net fare rates. Consider commission opportunities and preferred supplier strategies.
  • Collaborate directly with Kensington Tours' clients (travelers),  their travel advisors and/or Kensington Tours land Destination Experts.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly KPI goals and targets.
  • Stay current on the company’s airline strategy to maximize booking opportunities.
  • Demonstrate excellent email and verbal communication and customer service skills when assisting clients with air travel inquiries.
  • Accurately document all communications using our proprietary tools and systems.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of airline rules, regulations, and industry requirements, ensuring all reservations comply with these standards. Communicate any relevant information to clients as needed.

Qualifications:


  • 2+ years of experience in leisure air travel sales.
  • 2+ years of experience using Sabre GDS.
  • Experience working with VIP and luxury clientele, including first and business-class travel, is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in air sales, with knowledge of airline contracts, international commission, and net fare agreements.
  • Strong knowledge of international routings and global geography.
  • Experience with U.S.-originating air itineraries, ticketing, and fare rules is preferred.
  • Driven to achieve team Key Performance Indicators.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think independently and escalate issues as needed.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
