Distribution Operator I
Job Summary:
Distribution Operator Level I, general responsibilities include storing and retrieving materials, picking and cross-checking customer orders, processing returned goods and scheduling delivery appointments. These activities will require data to be accurately input into the warehouse management system. A Distribution Operator Level I reports directly to a Distribution supervisor with guidance from team leads.
Responsibilities:
- Operator shows abilities to transfer materials from wooden pallets to plastic pallets utilizing proper equipment (inverter or pallet pusher).
- Operator must physically clean boxes, drums, and pallets prior to moving the material into GMP spaces.
- Scheduling appointments with carriers.
- Physically picking material from correct locations, screen for correct material number, batch number and quantity.
- Utilizes handheld scanners with inventory management system.
- Perform audit cross-checks on all customer orders.
- Physically returning material from MFG/PKG back to proper warehouse locations (cooler, freezer, DEA cage, DEA vault and flammable rooms).
- Physically removing trash, cardboard, and waste from GMP airlock to proper disposal location.
- Executing housekeeping activities- sweeping, dry mopping and wet mopping.
- Understands how to operate Sit down fork truck, Stand up fork truck, Swing Reach truck, and Electric pallet jack.
Education/Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED Required
- 0-2 years experience in either warehouse or manufacturing processes.
- Warehouse experience preferred
- Must be able to adapt to changing tasks and schedules.
- Must have working knowledge of Sit down, Stand up, and Swing reach trucks.
- Must be familiar with cGMP’s, SOP’s and Training Modules.
- Must be detail oriented for accuracy.
- Occasionally pushing and pulling materials on pallets and carts up to 1000 lbs.
- Frequently lifting, reaching and grasping up to 50 lbs. for picking and processing materials for internal and customer orders.
- Stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, or crouch, kneel, reach, pull, push and grasp
- Individual is in a proximity of moving mechanical parts, electrical current and some exposure to chemicals.
- Ability to judge distance and space relationships.
- Exert an amount of force continuously and/or up to 5 pounds of force frequently and or up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and or up to 50 pounds of force rarely by utilizing a hand truck to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment in areas of the facility where required.
- Sitting to operate forklifts for extended periods.
- Frequent repetitive hand motion and twisting.
