Job Description


The Regional Safety Manager is responsible for managing the development and consistent implementation of safety, security, and environmental compliance programs.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates contact post-award pre-mobilization activities including but not limited to:  
  • Coordination of EHS management tool training 
  • Initiation and tracking of orientation process.  
  • Sends out updates and approvals of received pre-mobilization documentation to sites and upper management. 
  • Sends out templates to aid in subcontractor mobilization. 
  • Initiation of outsourcing of EHS contractors. 
  • Coordinates 2-week training for New EHS hires. 
  • Assists coordinator(s) in document control and development
  • Oversee all aspects of a commercial construction project ensuring OSHA compliance.
  • Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations
  • Oversee all subcontractors and contractors.
  • Update corporate and site specific EHS dashboards.
  • Oversees all EHS metrics and will send out reports on a routine basis.

Qualifications


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in safety and health or equivalent experience, required
  • 5+ years of EH&S compliance experience, required
  • 1+ years of managerial experience leading teams
  • Certification such as CSP, CHST, OHST CIH, or CHMM, preferred

  • Excellent organizational skills with high level of attention to detail.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills and ability to coach and train others.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  These physical tasks may be required on an emergency basis, meaning performed by the EH&S Manager and Trainer alone, without notice, and on an immediate basis to meet urgent facility operations requirements and standards at a site where frequently no other personnel are available.

  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, and balance
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl using both arms and legs
  • Ability to reach, grasp, push, pull, handle, feel, and type with both hands and arms
  • Ability to smell, talk and hear
  • Ability to see at close and distance ranges and the ability to see and correctly distinguish color
  • Ability to lift equipment in small spaces without mechanical assistance, weighing up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to work inside and outside
