We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team as a Platform Integration Engineer. In this role, you will collaborate with engineering and production teams to assist automation initiatives, develop comprehensive documentation, and implement rigorous testing protocols to ensure system performance and reliability. You will also support Information Assurance compliance, provide advanced troubleshooting for complex hardware and software issues, and assist in managing on-premises lab infrastructure.The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or has at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Proficiency in PowerShell and Python scripting, strong knowledge of Windows OS, and experience with issue tracking and version control systems are essential. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational skills, the ability to adapt to changing environments, and a commitment to continuous learning.The primary workplace for this position is Aechelon Technology’s South San Francisco Headquarters.United States citizenship required due to restrictions on access to certain data.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Support Information Assurance compliance by managing qualification cycles and processes for Windows OS (all versions) environments.
  • Collaborate effectively with adjacent engineering and production teams to ensure seamless integration and project success.
  • Assist in automation initiatives, including the development, documentation, and review of functional requirements and system designs.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including diagrams and in Confluence, to support project transparency and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop, implement, and manage rigorous testing protocols to validate system performance and ensure consistent reliability.
  • Provide escalation support, including advanced troubleshooting and deploying solutions to difficult or recuring hardware and software problems..
  • Assist in managing on-premises lab infrastructure and maintaining a clean, working lab environment.
  • Gather and analyze internal requirements, delivering solutions that meet the needs of both internal stakeholders and external customers.
  • Assist with day-to-day operations such as, organizing the lab infrastructure, configuring, running, and supporting automated tests.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Must have a strong knowledge PowerShell and Python (or similar programming languages).
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively within a team environment and to work proactively.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to produce formal documentation to a professional standard.
  • Must have knowledge of Windows OS, especially in supporting update operations.
  • Must have knowledge of Jira/Confluence and Microsoft’s Office suite.
  • Must demonstrate good judgment with the ability to escalate matters to the team while understanding the impact to others and operation.
  • Organized, systematic and understands the process of fault finding.
  • Must have experience with issue tracking and version control systems (i.e. Git, Perforce, etc).
  • Must demonstrate the ability to adapt to changing situations and environment, and a motivation to learn new systems and platforms.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
  • US citizenship or permanent residency due to export control restrictions.

DESIRED COMPENTENCIES:


  • Experience in a system engineering in a production or on-site service environment.
  • Experience in a help desk escalation role supporting over 100 end-users.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment; ability to coordinate multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standard.
  • Relevant certifications such as, but not limited to, CompTIA’s A+ and Server+ certifications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams in a highly dynamic 

$90,000 - $130,000 a yearThe above range is specific to CALIFORNIA and may not be applicable to other locations. The pay scale for this role is between $90,000 - $130,000.
