Doran Jones is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join a highly skilled team of SDLC professionals and help with the delivery of projects for a multi-national financial services firm.
You will be working on a project that is an ongoing redesign of the Operational Risk Management application.*Tampa, Charlotte, or NY.*No C2C

Responsibilities


  • Lead/participate in assigned projects, including assigning tasks, coordinating efforts, and monitoring performance.
  • Develop and foster collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals with QA and other colleagues in the organization.
  • Interact with the customer to analyze their need and find solutions
  • Be the point person for all stakeholders (customer, technical team, and PO) to make sure stories are well understood so everyone is on the 'same page'.
  • Groom backlog and perform other maintenance tasks that are standard to the BAs role within an Agile team.

Required Experience


  • 5+ years of experience working in the financial services domain.
  • Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance with a focus on Operational Risk.
  • Solid understanding of RCSA process.
  • Working knowledge of SDLC, especially as it relates to improving agile delivery metrics.
  • Understanding of Agile Software Development practices and how to leverage these to streamline project execution.
  • Ability to deconstruct business requirements into User Stories.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Preferred Experience


  • Consulting experience.
  • Scrum Master experience.
  • Knowledge of SQL, including writing queries, leveraging BI Tools, and data validation techniques.
