Responsibilities


Most of the time:


  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department including operations, monthly close process, and reconciliations
  • Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Help drive monthly financial reporting within the business, this includes partnering with FP&A on budget vs actual analysis, and providing insights on this performance
  • Ensure proper expense recognition for investments made throughout the business (headcount & vendor expense), and assist with the expense forecast for future periods

Some of the time:


  • Support in the production of budgets and forecasts
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions to ensure compliance and manage financial risk
  • Keep up to date with new accounting standards and principles
  • Additional ad-hoc analysis

Every now and then:


  • Make recommendations on revenue drivers and potential for cost savings

Requirements


What you bring to the Accounting Manager role:

  • 5+ years of accounting or finance experience at a mix of top accounting firms and SaaS startups
  • Strong attention to detail, and the ability to derive insights from the analysis
  • An ability to quickly learn the business's revenue and cost drivers
  • An analytical mind with strong strategic ability and excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Communication and collaboration skills across seniority levels and functions

Salary


The salary range for this full-time position is $130,000 - $160,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level and reflect the minimum and maximum salary across all US locations (please note: salaries are location agnostic). Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. We will talk about compensation in our first conversation and be transparent throughout the process about which level we think is the best match for you in our organization.

Please note that the salary range does not reflect total compensation, which includes base salary, benefits, and company stock options.

Job Location


Turquoise Health is a fully remote company based in the US. We work with team members and contractors in the US and around the world, but we operate on US business hours and work with clients entirely based in the US. For this role, we are seeking US-based candidates.
