The Role:
We are looking for a VP, Design & Creative who will be responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and execution of our design & creative initiatives at Podium. You will lead the design function at Podium, overseeing a team of talented designers and design leaders to deliver exceptional solutions for our customers. Reporting into the Chief Product and Marketing Officer, you will partner closely with cross functional teams including engineering, product, marketing and sales to craft compelling design strategies, identify user pain points, and scale Podium’s design practice.
What you will be doing:
- Build, manage, and mentor high-performing Product Design and Marketing Creative teams at Podium, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, urgency, and continuous improvement.
- Shape and evangelize a compelling design / creative strategy and vision at Podium, from the look and feel of the brand to how it translates into user journeys in the product and across marketing touchpoints
- Partner with product and engineering, and other cross-functional partners to deliver exceptional user experiences that drive impact for Podium users.
- Lead the Creative and Product Design teams in developing marketing and product experiences that drive results while telling the Podium story in a cohesive way, deeply resonating with prospects/customers throughout the product lifestyle.
- Partner closely with marketing to drive a high impact creative roadmap. Continuously refine strategy based on performance results, customer insights, and business needs.
- Partner with senior leadership to shape the product vision and ensure alignment with Podium's strategic goals, driving company-wide design definition, specification and collaboration with cross-functional partners.
- Lead, grow, and inspire a high-performing team of designers, design leaders and creative professionals who are focused on the end-to-end Podium experience across our different segments of users, towards cohesion and successful results
What you should have:
- Significant experience (8+ years) leading and managing product design and creative teams, including design leaders
- Experience leading and collaborating with diverse, distributed teams in a dynamic, rapid growth environment.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and brainstorming skills – with ability to navigate and thrive in ambiguity
- Passion for building scalable solutions and services, working with (and simplifying) sophisticated design systems that span multiple products.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to balance creativity with data-driven decision-making.
- Proven experience working on a cross-functional leadership team where you deeply collaborated with engineering, product, and data teams to plan and implement team roadmaps.
