Who You Are
We are seeking an Oracle Database 21c Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team on a contract basis. This is a twenty-five (25) hour contract that will span over two to three weeks. The Oracle Database SME will play a critical role in providing technical expertise, guidance, and support for Oracle-based systems of our client. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Oracle databases, applications, cloud services, and technologies, and a proven track record of delivering results in complex environments.
The Role
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Oracle-related matters, providing expert advice and support to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Oracle database systems, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define Oracle database system requirements and deliver solutions that align with business needs.
- Conduct system architecture reviews and provide recommendations for improving Oracle database environments, including database tuning, patching, testing, and upgrading.
- Support migration and integration projects involving Oracle Cloud, Oracle Fusion, and other related platforms.
- Provide best practices for deployment and operations of the enterprise Oracle database.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience working with Oracle databases, applications, and cloud solutions.
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and database administration tasks.
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with deploying Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC)
- Experience with deploying Oracle Database with direct attached storage
Additional Details
- The offered pay range for this position is $70.00 to $90.00 per hour, depending on contract engagement type and experience.
