WHAT YOU WILL DO:


We are seeking a detail-oriented

Quality Analyst


to support the quality and integrity of team-specific applications. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality outcomes by performing software and web testing, validating completed development tasks, and working closely with your team to maintain high standards. You will develop, refine, and execute testing strategies and plans while documenting results to assist in debugging and modifying software. This role offers the chance to be part of a fast-paced, highly visible team, contributing to impactful projects.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Test Plan Verification: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of functional, integration, system, end-to-end, and acceptance test plans for the project.

  • Design and Documentation: Create and approve test cases, scripts, and conditions while managing all QA-related documentation to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.

  • Quality Assurance Practices: Develop, maintain, and enforce standardized quality assurance practices and controls aligned with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Project Estimations: Provide accurate testing estimates based on detailed analysis of project dependencies, as requested by the project management team.

  • Test Dependencies Management: Identify and manage all dependencies, including QA environments, tools, training needs, and deployment plans.

  • Requirement Analysis: Participate in requirement gathering sessions to review and assess requirements for clarity, testability, and completeness, ensuring that no ambiguity or contradictions are present.

  • Defect Management: Lead and document the defect management process, ensuring timely assignment, tracking, and communication of defects throughout their lifecycle.

  • Test Case Traceability: Ensure that test cases are properly linked to their originating requirements or user stories, validating that tests thoroughly address the acceptance criteria.

  • Risk Management: Conduct QA risk assessments during the testing phase, distinguishing between risks, defects, and issues, and manage them accordingly.

  • Mentorship and Support: Assist team members in understanding application concepts and improving their skills with the QA tool suite.

  • Proactive Problem Solving: Anticipate potential issues before they escalate, evaluate possible solutions, and implement the best course of action to resolve problems effectively.

  • Test Execution: Develop and execute detailed test strategies, plans, and scripts to validate software quality.

  • Documentation Maintenance: Create and maintain high-quality documentation for products and testing procedures to ensure accuracy and clarity.

  • Automated Testing Suite: Manage and enhance the automated testing framework to ensure its effectiveness for a given product.

  • Quality Planning Assistance: Collaborate with various teams to plan and implement quality management strategies tailored to their specific responsibilities.

  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and improvement of organizational standards, practices, and processes to enhance overall quality assurance outcomes.

YOUR EXPERIENCE:


  • 2+ years of design and development experience in C# or Java.

  • 2+ years of development experience with any scripting language.

  • 2+ years of experience in backend testing, including writing SQL queries and testing stored procedures.

  • 2+ years of experience using automation tools (Ranorex, Jenkins, SauceLabs, Splunk, Selenium, etc).

  • Experience using Agile testing methodologies and best practices.

WE WOULD BE THRILLED IF YOU HAVE:


  • Experience with testing and automation for iSeries/mainframe applications.

  • Ability to apply established standards and tools to achieve well-engineered results.

  • Experience collaborating with others in work reviews as appropriate.

  • Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps principles.

  • Experience as a consultant.

WHAT WE OFFER:


  • Competitive compensation with opportunities for additional incentives. The annual salary range for this role is $90,000-$130,000.

LOCATION:


This role requires on-site presence at our client's location in Issaquah, WA.
