Senior Systems Engineer, Product Lifecycle

The mission of the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) product team is to shorten time to market of Toast products and services, and accelerate innovation through integrating PLM disciplines and technologies in Toast product creation and execution processes (from inception to end-of-life).
We are seeking a highly motivated PLM Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a new team and as a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be working closely with the PM/Developer/QA/Admin team and internal business customers to build software solutions while also having the opportunity to build the discipline area from the ground up alongside other high performers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in software development, be personable and a natural helper with a customer service minded philosophy, thrive in a fast-paced and learning-intensive environment, and deliver solutions on challenging problems.
The candidate will be comfortable working autonomously, and wants to see the team succeed and gets satisfaction from knowing that he or she played a critical role.

* (Responsibilities)
- Be part of a team working collaboratively with other Developers, Product Managers, QA, and System Administrator building product lifecycle management applications using modern web technologies, Salesforce Platform, Propel and/or other product lifecycle management software.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives related to Product Lifecycle. Develop and configure Product Catalog in Propel (built on Salesforce), including SKU management and processes, to meet business needs and support product SKU release processes
- Work closely with internal pilot customers to ensure successful software delivery and on-going product business support.
- Design and develop (configure, customize, and implement) product lifecycle software to meet business requirements
- Provide technical expertise and support for PLM products, including troubleshooting and resolving issues
- Work closely with product team to analyze ways of achieving the end goal, identifying areas for improvement across the product solution set, and then moving forward to integrate these solutions
- Keep up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices

? (Requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, supply chain, or a related field.
- 5+ years of high proficiency experience in developing software.
- 2+ years of experience with building solutions (configuration/customization) on the Salesforce Platform using technology stack provided by Salesforce (using Flows, Triggers, Apex, and Lightning Web Component Framework)
- 1+ years of experience with building solutions using PLM tools such as Propel, Windchill, or Teamcenter.
- Highly proficient in one or more programming languages (Java, C++, or Python).
- Working experience using Git/Github and DevOps CI/CD processes.
- Experience of API principals and building integration using REST/SOAP protocols.
- Experience building software using Javascript, React enabled UI.
- Experience with system integration and data migration in a PLM context.
- Enjoys building well-engineered, usable and accessible systems and passionate about customers delightness.
- Working experience of an agile mindset focused on delivering usable software.
- Comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment.
- Flexible to manage the working time within the US time zone.

- Full stack software development experience.
- Experience implementing component testing and E2E testing.
- Experience in writing detailed user stories and test suites.
- Understanding of product engineering and supply chain processes
