The opportunity:
Podium is on the search for an outstanding Sales Development Team Lead to co-manage and grow a key division of our fast-growing SDR organisation in Melbourne.You will play a critical role within our sales org; coaching, developing and inspiring a high-performing group of outbound SDR’s. You will recruit and hire A-players for your team, helping the division grow and scale throughout 2024 and beyond. Also holding strategy development responsibilities, you will play a truly influential role in driving the success and growth of our overall Australian office.
What you’ll do:
- Inspire, coach, mentor and guide a division of our SDR team in Melbourne
- Identify, track and accurately forecast key performance metrics to our local leadership
- Onboard and develop new team members
- Engage in regular coaching and career development conversations
- Lead with transparency and be open to having sincere and constructive conversations when needed.
- Be fully accountable and ensure your team exceeds all core inputs for the SDR team: calls, sets, and opps
- Develop and implement plans to improve the SDR team and function
What you’ll bring:
- 1-2+ years’ of team leadership experience, preferably managing Sales Development/Inside Sales Representatives
- A consistent track record of leading a quota-exceeding sales team
- A “roll up your sleeves” approach; you are a hands-on leader who can provide sole contribution where required
- The ability to implement and train SDR’s in strategic selling techniques
- You inspire both in a 1:1 setting as well as across the entire sales team
- You are exceptional at staying organised and being able to prioritize
- Hands on leadership - willing to hit to the phones and do call for calls, call review session etc with the team
