We are currently seeking an Automation Technician 1 for our West Texas-New Mexico operations. Will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation equipment with ability to troubleshoot, install, configure, and test equipment/devices.Eligibility CriteriaNew to minimal experience in Automation-InstrumentationBasic Oil Field experienceBasic Electrical experienceAbility to:
- Assign an IP to his laptop, and scan a network
- Crimp ethernet cables according to the standard TIA568A or TIA568B
- Clean devices and panels terminations and label wires
- Perform continuity checks and loop checks
- Identify if a loop is Wet or Dry
ResponsibilitiesShadow Automation Technician and take detailed notesConduct minute tasks related to technical teamConduct instrumentation evaluation and troubleshooting for electrical, pneumatic, electronic as well as programmable logic control (PLC) systemsCalibrate and maintain automated, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic process controls and measurement instrumentation to approved proceduresRecognize an AC or DC power source and work with relaysResearch for the information or manuals required to perform a task
