The Role


As the Systems Administrator, based out of Chennai, you will be responsible for managing software applications, enabling access for new hires, and ensuring that all employees have the tools and permissions needed for their roles. You will focus on user management, onboarding and offboarding, and software support, ensuring our teams work efficiently while adhering to security standards. Your role will be crucial in maintaining software functionality, security, and user experience as the organization scales.

Key Responsibilities:


Manage user access and permissions across all organizational software systems (e.g., Salesforce, Slack, Google Workspace, project management tools, etc.)Handle onboarding processes related to software setup for new employees, ensuring timely access to necessary applicationsMaintain a catalog of software licenses and ensure compliance with licensing agreementsTroubleshoot software issues, providing timely support to employees across different departmentsMonitor the health and security of software systems, ensuring patches and updates are applied as neededCollaborate with department heads to ensure software tools are meeting team needs, and recommend new tools or enhancementsDocument processes and maintain user guides for internal toolsDecommission access for departing employees and ensure data is secureAssist with the evaluation, testing, and implementation of new software as the organization growsSupport additional projects and tasks in line with startup culture, including process improvements and team support

Requirements


Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)2+ years of experience managing enterprise software and user accessFamiliarity with SaaS platforms, cloud services, and user administrationExperience with tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Salesforce, and other common business softwareKnowledge of software license management and complianceStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues quicklyExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projectsExperience with onboarding and offboarding processesAbility to collaborate across departments and communicate technical concepts to non-technical usersPrevious experience in a startup environment is a plusLocated in ChennaiOttimate is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion.
