Feeser’s provides an expansive offering of dry, refrigerated, and frozen products to a diverse customer base comprised of restaurants, healthcare facilities, educational facilities, and other institutions.

SUMMARY:

An inventory control coordinator is primarily responsible to verify and reconcile inventories.  Complete physical inventories including daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and to compile/analyze inventory related data and reports.  Act as an interface between customer support, suppliers, buyers, and management on inventory issues for resolution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Performing daily, weekly, monthly cycle counts to ensure date sensitive products are rotated properly and to ensure all items inside the facility are counted a minimum of once per quarter.
  • Reconcile and data entry into WMS
  • Analyze data and transactions for root cause analysis using Excel spreadsheets
  • Monitor and key data as related to customer credits
  • Compile and maintain cycle count data for management reports.
  • Monitor failed transactions and physically reconcile discrepancies.
  • Coordinate between customer support, suppliers, buyers, and management on inventory issues for resolution
  • Investigate all shrinkage of inventory, advise management and make recommendations for improvement. 
  • Verifying reported errors in shipping based on physical counts and driver notes to ensure specific inventories are correct and report the findings to specific departments. 
  • Participating in and helping coordinate physical inventory counts in the entire warehouse as required, participate in quarterly inventory audits as assigned. 
  • Tracking down missing or mis rotated product within the warehouse. 

  • Performing audits on random and specific products when requested by management. 
  • Ensuring out of date product gets removed from stock and adjusting the inventory counts. 
  • Maintaining a positive teamwork mentality and attitude.
  • Other duties as assigned by management

SKILLS REQUIRED:


  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations to verify inventory levels are correct. 

  • Ability to concentrate and stay on task despite a fast-paced work environment. 
  • Ability to use provided technology to input data, generate reports, and verify the status of inventories. 
  • Ability to interact with multiple other departments and have effective communication skills to relay information. 
  • Ability to withstand being on their feet for multiple hours a day and ability to lift product weighing up to and sometimes exceeding 70 lbs. 
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures ranging from 85+ degrees to -10 degrees for extended periods of time.
  • Coordinating the return of rejected, damaged, and out of date product (Code 5’s). 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:


  • Knowledge in the use and operations of a RF tracking and warehouse management system, preferably Oracle or similar system.  Experience with AS400 or similar system a plus. 
  • Knowledge and proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to independently operate powered industrial equipment including pallet jack, forklift, and stock picker without restriction.  Willingness and ability to become certified on all applicable warehouse equipment as required to perform cycle counts or other research requiring product to be physically moved within the warehouse.
