We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with a primary focus on Elasticsearch Observability and related technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing ELK stack solutions, managing Elasticsearch indices, integrating web APIs, and overseeing self-hosted clusters. This role includes designing centralized logging solutions, optimizing configurations, and fine-tuning bulk load processes. Additionally, the engineer will participate in technical discussions, advocate for logging best practices, troubleshoot issues, and plan for effective cluster capacity.
What your impact will look like here:
Elasticsearch and Logging Solutions:
- Implement & Manage ELK stack solutions, contribute to Design centralized logging solutions.
- Configure Observability metrics and parameters
- Setup & Manage Elasticsearch indices and self-hosted clusters & Optimize configurations and fine-tune bulk load processes.
- Integrate web APIs for enhanced functionality.
Technical Leadership:
- Participate actively in technical discussions.
- Advocate for logging best practices across teams.
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to logging and data ingestion.
- Plan and manage cluster capacity effectively.
CI/CD Pipeline Development:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline software development and deployment.
- Collaborate with development teams for efficient code integration and delivery.
Infrastructure Automation:
- Develop scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure solutions using infrastructure as code.
- Write and maintain scripts for infrastructure provisioning and management.
Containerization and Orchestration:
- Create and maintain Docker images for application containerization.
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters.
- Utilize Helm charts for standardized and efficient application deployment.
Artifact Management and Security Scanning:
- Manage artifact repositories for storage and versioning.
- Conduct security scanning to ensure artifact integrity and compliance.
Cloud Security and Secrets Management:
- Define and enforce security policies across cloud environments.
- Secure sensitive data using secrets management solutions.
- Integrate secrets management seamlessly with systems and applications.
Collaboration, Mentorship, and Continuous Improvement:
- Mentor junior engineers and share technical expertise.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems and processes.
- Stay updated with industry trends and propose innovations to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
You will love this job if you have:
- 5+ years of extensive experience with Elasticsearch and ELK stack implementations & Observability (certification is an added advantage).
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools, infrastructure as code, Cloud Services, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, artifact management, security scanning, and secrets management.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
- Demonstrated ability to enforce security compliance and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Proven track record of mentoring team members and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
