We are looking for candidates with a solid background in a wide range of accounting topics who can grow and assume new responsibilities as the company evolves. Experience working in a public accounting firm or a publicly traded company is highly desired. This role will report to the Associate Director of Accounting and will be a San Diego based role
.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and/or review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Support the establishment and enhancement of a strong internal control environment.
- Own the accounting process over key areas such as cash, fixed assets, leasing, and intercompany.
- Effectively interact with Human Resources and third-party providers to ensure the proper accounting for payroll and employee benefits.
- Support and/or perform the processing of certain tax filings.
- Identify, provide input to and/or support improvements to systems and processes to drive efficiency and enhance effectiveness.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline with a minimum of 5+ years of broad, progressive accounting experience.
- A CPA designation is preferred but not required.
- Experience with the preparation of financial statements in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment preferred.
- NetSuite proficiency preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
- A passion for teamwork and continuous improvement.

Base Compensation Pay Range:
