You will leverage our GIT HUBdevelopment repository and be responsible for solving issues related to testing, monitoring, release management and operational planning while bridging the gap between operations and development.
Moreover, you will introduce processes, tools, and methodologies to improve the software development life cycle (SDLC) from coding and deployment to maintenance and updates.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelopment Operations
- Create and maintain scripts and leverageautomation tools to simplify software build infrastructure administration and enhance software deployment.
- Continuous collaboration with the Development and Testing teams to troubleshoot and resolve problems with infrastructure, software deployments and automation test integration into CI/CD.
- Support the deployment and adoption of new technologies and tools used in software development, including build servers, version control, and test frameworks.
- Designing code which will automate repetitive tasks to reduce manual intervention and improve development and release processes.
- Identify, assess and resolve defects within DevOps related code or version control systems.
- Identify, assess and resolve process deficiencies within DevOps or release process.
- Ensure CI/CD pipelines are working effectively for rapid and effective code deployment
- Facilitate access control and vulnerability management, as well as monitor and maintain system security within our GDI infrastructure.
Jira Administration
- Operational support and maintenance of Jira tool suite.
- Coordinate with Product Management, Testing and Development teams to identify, prioritize, and address end-user requests related to Jira.
- Customize and configure Jira to support end users and teams with their Jira requests.
- Understand system/application architecture of upstream and downstream impacts when implementing solutions, upgrades, etc.
- Work on performance, functional and user acceptance testing of Jira updates or amendments to workflows, and custom configurations.
- Build automated solutions to increase the efficiency of Jira.
- Provide 2nd (in depth) and 3rd (expert) level support for team related assets and domains.
- Creating and updating technical documentation and procedures.
- Providing estimates on Jira functional solutions or amendments to existing functionality.
- Implementation and integration of automated test frameworks including the integration of development technologies into the Jira framework.
- Configuration of Jira (workflows, fields, screens, permissions, notifications, etc.), and in-depth knowledge of JQL queries, reporting capabilities and dashboards.
- Driving Jira installations, mergers, upgrades, backups and migrations.
- Stay current with Jira updates, new features, and industry best practices to recommend and implement improvements.
- Work with other IT teams to integrate Jira with other systems and tools as needed.

- Ability to quickly learn and understand the details in technical areas.
- Ability to prioritize at the team level with varying scope variables and competing priorities.
- Functioning as a knowledge or escalation point for CI/CD operations.
- Ability to identify risks, communicate them effectively and propose solutions.
Qualifications & RequirementsRequired:
- Bachelor’s degree/Technical Diploma in computing science or relevant information technology experience/education.
- 2+ years in aDevOps role supporting multiple users within the SDLC.
- Experience with Jira Administration.
- Experience withdeployment and configuration technologies and tools in software development including version control systems and build servers (Jenkins) within the CI/CD pipeline.
