VetsEZ is seeking a
Cloud Data Integration Engineer to join our team and support the Data Migration and syndication (DMS) efforts within the Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO) for the Department of Veterans Affairs. As a key player, you’ll collaborate with EHRM Architects and stakeholders to design, enhance, and implement cloud strategies to integrate VistA and Oracle Health Millennium data, supporting advanced analytics, AI/ML, research, and reporting needs.The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities:


  • Utilize tools like Azure Data Lake, AWS S3, and others to facilitate seamless data access and management.
  • Design and manage ETL/ELT scripts to populate EHRM data models, ensuring data quality and validation.
  • Develop data pipelines, architectures, and big data sets using Databricks, optimizing performance and scalability.
  • Create and update databases, data models, and documentation across multiple cloud platforms.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Evaluate cloud platforms (Azure, Google, AWS) to optimize the cloud strategy.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related technical field, plus 5+ years of experience.
  • Proficiency with data integration tools and languages (e.g., SSIS, T-SQL, Python, Databricks, Azure Data Factory).
  • Experience with Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong knowledge of database architecture, security, and cloud data lake management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment, taking ownership of tasks and delegating effectively.

Additional Qualifications:


  • Experience with VA or other federal organizations.
  • Familiarity with Data Migration and Syndication within the VA.
  • Ability to obtain a Government clearance.
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or any related certification.
