We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Accountant who will play a pivotal role in delivering timely and accurate cost accounting information to finance and operations management. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Maintain Standard Costing.
- Perform cost roll-ups for new inventory items. Review for accuracy and reasonableness.
- Maintain Labor and Overhead rates.
- Monitor and reconcile inventory accounts.
- Analyze variances between standard costs and actual costs, investigating causes of variances.
- Assist in the annual physical inventory counts and valuation.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, manufacturing, and accounting, to gather cost-related data
- Assist with external audits related to cost accounting.
- Support the implementation of new financial systems or upgrades as needed.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis as required by management.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline with a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and cost allocation.
- Working knowledge of accounting standards and relevant legal regulations
- Effective communication, organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Intermediate Excel level required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word
- Excellent math skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and/or stand at a work station for long periods of time.
- Ability to move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.

Base Compensation Pay Range:
