Overview of Position
In this exciting role you will generate a flow of qualified opportunities for the Regional Direct Sales teams through a combination of inbound lead management and targeted outbound prospecting. We are looking for an individual that is highly motivated and passionate about Business Development, as you will be the face and the evangelist of the company when interacting with customers across APAC. This will include being responsible for driving all customer initiatives cross-functionally in order to ensure success and aggressive market share growth.Our core go-to-market strategy is to focus on vertical market segments: aerospace & defence, surveying, autonomous vehicles/robotics, and maritime/subsea, while delivering an incredible customer experience for all of our partners.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain high levels of outbound sales activities including prospecting, qualification and discovery using all available tools and resources. Key activities will include prospect account research, outbound calling as well as outreach via email and social media
- Daily processing of all inbound leads and enquiries, with rapid, professional customer response and qualification in/out as appropriate
- Developing and maintaining an appropriate knowledge of our products, specifications and applications in the field
- Market-making: research of new potential markets and applications for Advanced Navigation offerings and working these to generate new use-case opportunities as guided by the regional HOS
- Providing additional support to the regional sales teams within specific opportunities
- Supporting regional development activities such as trade shows, exhibitions, marketing campaigns etc
- Cooperation with the global SDR team to share expertise and leverage success.
- Build strong relationships with prospects and strategic customers for Advanced Navigation to drive strategic deals to closure
- Provide a high level of opportunity intelligence to the company through comprehensive, timely and accurate maintenance of the information within our CRM platform.
Skills / Experience:
- 2-5 years of business development experience preferably within high-tech solutions and within one of the following verticals: aerospace & defence, surveying, autonomous vehicles/robotics, or maritime/subsea
- Strong commercial acumen and know how to navigate within an enterprise/partner to map stakeholders, generate buy-in
- Research - an ability to identify target customers and find prospective buyers
- Strong sales skills - particularly qualification and discovery skills
- Be a strong team player that is passionate about being a part of a fast-moving and entrepreneurial company
- Excellent communication and writing skills with the ability to be both technical and analytical
- The ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment, international cultures and distributed teams
- A sense of being coach-able and invested in your professional growth, development and career path
- Have an understanding that you will be conducting lots of cold calls
You might also have:
- Relevant technical knowledge, such as inertial sensors, acoustics, GNSS, optical sensors, and robotics with an ability to go deep enough on technical aspects to differentiate between varied navigation services/products
- Strong skills with CRM solutions such as SalesForce
- B2B sales experience in a technology organisation (Hardware preferred)
