Royal Alaskan Movers is part of The DeWitt Companies, is a Household Goods Carrier with Logistics, Warehousing and freight forwarding company providing services to Commercial, Military and Government Agencies in Alaska, the continental US and Internationally.
We are seeking a Dispatcher and Operations Manager to join our team.Title: Dispatcher / Operations ManagerDuties and Responsibilities:
- Set Daily Crew / Equipment assignments
- Manage the recruitment and staffing for all crew and operational positions.
- Manage all equipment maintenance and repair.
- Maintains workflow, staffing, and scheduling to achieve targeted operational and financial results.
- Ensures compliance with all DOT / FMCSA regulations for crew and equipment
- Resolves routine operational issues.
- Follows procedures and seeks opportunities for improved efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills, Abilities, and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Moving / Transportation industry
- Clean Driver's Abstract
- Ability to obtain a military base pass (company paid)
- MS Office Proficiency
- WMS Experience
- Ability to successfully pass a background and drug test
- Obtain DOT Medical Card (company paid)
- Prefer individual with a Class A CDL
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
