Responsibilities:
- Creates & submits invoices to customers; upload invoices in Ariba or other customer’s portal.
- Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to AR.
- Interact with customers and cross-functional teams regarding invoices, statements and credits to resolve outstanding issues.
- Facilitates new customer set-up and terms approvals with manager and corporate controller.
- Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes.
- Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts.
- Researches customer discrepancies and past-due amounts.
- Identifies delinquent accounts and perform collections.
- Supports audit and related requests for AR documents.
- Assists Accounting Supervisor in reconciling AR and other AR related accounts.
- Prepares AR related journal entries for posting for month end and quarter end.
- Managing AR Inbox and evaluating incoming emails, prioritizing, and categorizing.
- Investigate and apply cash receipts in USD and foreign currency.
- Pulling weekly AR Aging and running weekly aging review meeting.
- Assist in performing other general accounting tasks such as account reconciliations, SOX controls(Order to Cash) and AR Analysis.
Experience/Requirements:
- Strong ability to assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem
- Must have excellent communication and coordination skills, specially in working with people outside the accounting department.
- Has great overall business acumen particularly in the telecommunications and/or technology space.
- Advanced Excel skill (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.)
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant professional experience in an AR/Accounting environment. Public accounting experience preferred.
Salary Range: $52,000 - $63,000This base pay range will vary depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
