Full-timeDescriptionThe Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement and distribution of inventory throughout the company. This position will coordinate the efficient movement of products directly to our customers and facilities by establishing a centralized distribution system and managing offsite shipping vendors.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. - Plan, implement, and manage a centralized inventory distribution system to minimize excess inventory
- Partner with external shipping vendors to ensure inventory and shipping costs are minimized
- Develop and maintain demand planning to ensure customer needs are met while minimizing purchasing overages
- Oversee the procurement, storage, and distribution of HST, CPAP and Oxygen supplies through local delivery personnel and parcel delivery methods
- Works with the VP of Operations to streamline processes and provides suggestions for improvement
- Assists with implementing changes in the distribution process as business climate evolves.
- Ensures that the company is compliant with state and federal regulations related to medical equipment
- Hire, train, mentor and lead new employees
- Provides the leadership team with accurate, timely, and relevant financial reporting and key performance indicators as needed.
- Develops analytical reports to ensure COGS are properly recorded each month, understands and evaluates any changes in gross margin
- Develops analytical reports to support various inventory reserves
- Develops analytical reports to validate any ad hoc adjustments to inventory quantities and/or pricing (e.g., warehouse adjustments / transfer cost adjustments)
- Leads effort to understand, implement, and reconcile inventory activity occurring at 3rd party fulfillment center(s) in and out of State
- Leads and/or assists with special projects related to inventory valuation, cost accounting, establishing standard costs, inventory quantities (min/max on hand targets), etc.
- Assists with budgeting and planning as it relates to inventory purchases and gross margins by service line, by product, etc.
- Oversees physical inventory procedures, including planning and related internal controls
- Assists with the creation/approval of purchase requests and purchase orders and also verifies the actual invoiced amounts (and quantities and other relevant data) agree with approved purchase orders
- Follows-up on open orders and/or invoices without supporting purchase orders
- Assists in preparing for and holding pricing negotiations with major vendors
- Assists in maintaining vendor master price lists (in accordance with purchase agreements or negotiations), making sure purchase requests/orders reference the most current pricing
- Creates monthly journal entries, assists with payables entry (for inventory purchases), and assists with lead schedule preparation (for inventory and related accounts)
- Performs other special projects and other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Directly manages the Warehouse Supervisors, the delivery and dispatch employees and all subordinate warehouse staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
Detail oriented, good people skills and the ability to follow-up. Ability to deal pleasantly and patiently with patients, employees and vendors. Must be able to speak and read English fluently. Bilingual Spanish a strong plus.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in shipping, receiving, purchasing or inventory control in a management capacity. Understanding and direct experience working with oxygen delivery and DME strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field plus the required supervisor experience preferred. Requires a clean driving record and valid driver's license. Extensive MS Office computer skills required, including advanced formulas, data management, and presentation skills in Excel.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to interface with employees and vendors in a polite and professional manner, in all levels of the organization from employees to top-level management. Ability to write reports and simple business correspondences. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, and the general public. Must be able to communicate clearly and accurately in the English language.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and situations furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
HMDR Exemptee certification strongly preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Able to bend, kneel, and move boxes and equipment up to 30 pounds. The position generally involves sitting, frequent walking, frequent standing, frequent bending and reaching, occasional kneeling, twisting, balancing and climbing.
Keyboard, telephone operation and operation of office machinery including video conferencing is required. This position is required to drive on an occasional basis.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

The duties and responsibilities are generally performed in a warehouse or office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Compensation range DOE: $70,000.00-$85,000.00/year

Salary Description$70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
