Senior Technical Writer
Job Objective:
Are you passionate about creating customer facing technical and training documentation? If so, we are looking for a Senior Technical Writer to join our team. This person will focus on designing, developing and editing various article types in our Knowledge base. This role will also focus on refining search results and further integrating learning content in our LMS.
Let's talk about Responsibilities:
- Primary focus on developing new and editing existing online learning materials and content.
- Performing audience analysis and developing appropriate learning objectives
- Designing and developing curricula, training materials, and teaching aids in support of Netradyne Technologies applications.
- Evaluate and analyze search result reports to identify customer needs.
- Working with product experts and internal stakeholders to understand product features/functionality and design and deliver accurate, high-quality e-learning materials.
- Working in a collaborative team environment.
- Coordinating and participating in quality control, proofreading, and distribution of courseware.
- Performing administrative duties in Brightree's learning management system such as building user roles and profiles, creating learning assignments, and assignment automation.
Let's talk about Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Educational Technology, or related field.
- Minimum three (3) years of technical writing experience with a minimum 3 years of experience in the design and development of instructional and web-based material in support of a software application (ideally SaaS)
- Deep understanding of knowledge base or content management
- Deep knowledge of LMS curriculum/course structure and administration
- Experience with Northpass LMS is highly preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Ability to work guide discussions and elicit feedback to identify learning requirements.
- Ability to consult, communicate, and engage SMEs (Product Managers, Trainers, Consultants, Support, etc.) to understand customer needs.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, analytical, organizational, collaborative, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Strong technical writing skills with a focus on the end-user learning experience
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Experience in the design and development of instructional and web-based material in support of a healthcare technology application
