Assembly Technician/Warehouse Support

Job Description Summary
Under direct supervision, the Assembly Technician follows released documentation to assemble products. The Assembly Technician is responsible for providing feedback to management, and suggests measures for improvement of manufacturing, and thereby increases productivity.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Performs any combination of following tasks to assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems: Reads work orders, follows production drawings and test procedures regarding duties to be performed.
- Positions and aligns parts, as specified, in jig, fixture, or other holding device. Assembles components by examining for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Solders, glues, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment.
- Connects component lead wires to printed circuits or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, using soldering or related bonding procedures and equipment.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; notifying supervisor to obtain proper resources.
- Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, and cleaning of parts and assemblies.
- Performs on-line go-no go testing and inspection, using measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment, to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Follow applicable standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Other duties include backing up warehouse shipping and receiving
- Prepare kits for production
- Enter shipping data (UPS, FEDEX, DHL, Parcel Post, etc.) using appropriate scales, computer programs, forms, and measurements
- Prepare records and/or assemble all required packing, shipping and enclosed information used in connection with shipping operations

Education and Experience Requirements
- Theoretical knowledge typically achieved through a high school diploma
Skills and Knowledge
- Can perform assembly operations under microscope or other magnifying device.
- Demonstrates effective oral and written communications with customers, coworkers, and third parties.
- At least 5 years electronic assembly experience with soldering and repair experience for commercial wireless products, with an emphasis on SMT components.
- Experience in a Medical Device manufacturing processes and test procedures
- Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO, and other regulatory processes as required.
- Ability to read assembly and test documents is highly essential.
- Computer knowledge desirable such as Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet browser, etc.

20 To 22 (USD) Hourly
